Yogurt Bites Recipe
These yogurt bites are fun to make with kids! Kids will love the rainbow of colors to choose from. And the best part is that they are made with all natural ingredients!

Ingredients Needed to Make Yogurt Bites
- Plain Greek Yogurt
- Fruit Puree
- Honey (optional: if you’d like to make for babies under 1, you can omit the honey and use vanilla Greek yogurt instead or simply skip adding the honey in. You can also use another sweetener of your choice if you want to make them sweeter.)
We used plain Greek yogurt because you can alter the amount of sweetener that you want, but you can also experiment with flavored Greek yogurt as well. Vanilla flavor would work well with all of the fruit purees.
We suggest using Greek yogurt over regular yogurt because of the consistency. Greek yogurt is much thicker than regular yogurt and your yogurt bites will keep their shape better and not be too watery.
Our recipe contains honey. It is recommended that babies under one do not consume honey. Honey in all forms should be avoided, even if it is mixed into recipes. Tips for Making Frozen Yogurt Bites
- 1/4 cup of fruit puree with the Greek yogurt makes a a perfect consistency for the yogurt bites. If you add more puree you may have an issue with it being too runny on your sheet when you try to make the bite dollops.
- Acidic fruit can have a reaction with the Greek yogurt, making it turn into a liquid. Kiwi, for example, may not set like the fruits we suggest to use.
- The volume of diced fruit will typically puree down about 50%. For example, 1 Cup of diced peaches will puree down to about ½ cup of peach puree.
- Straining is optional but recommended for berries with seeds, like strawberries and blackberries.
- You can leave the skin on fruits like peaches, but we peeled the mango.
How to Store Yogurt Bites
Once completely frozen on a baking tray, the yogurt bites can be transferred to an airtight container or sealed freezer bag and placed back in the freezer.
If properly stored, yogurt bites will last in the freezer for 1-2 months. Only bring out the portion you would like to snack on as they will melt once removed from the freezer.
Fruit Combination Options
Make a rainbow of frozen yogurt bites or make your favorite flavors only! Our personal favorites were strawberry, mango and blackberry.
Here are the exact measurements of fruit puree for different flavors:
Red: ¼ cup strained, pureed strawberries (about 1 cup of strawberries)
Orange: ¼ cup pureed peaches (about 1-2 peaches)
Yellow: ¼ cup pureed mango (1 large mango)
Green: ¼ cup pureed green pear, green grapes and spinach (1/2 green pear, handful of grapes and a few pieces of spinach). You can skip the spinach but it makes the bites a brighter green.
Blue: ¼ cup pureed blueberries (about 3/4 cup of blueberries)
Purple: ¼ cup strained, pureed blackberries (1 cup of blackberries – you need more if you’d like to strain them).

Other Notes:
One color will fill 1 baking tray.
Nutrition calculation based on strawberry puree. Other flavors will vary based on fruit used.
Depending on the fruit and your preference, some of the purees need to be strained with a fine mesh strainer before adding to the yogurt mixture.
For more dense fruit like mangoes, a splash of water was added to the blender to get it moving.
